Port, after a decisive win over Lions last weekend, take on West Augusta in the second semi final at Memorial Oval this Saturday.
The winner will book a berth in the 2008 SGL grand final.
These two sides met here a fortnight ago in round 17 and the match was a good close encounter for most of the game until West broke clear in the last 10 minutes to run out 24 point victors.
Port should regain quality players in Tom Clarke, Chris Stephens and captain Andrew Fleming who were out of the line up last week while Jason Lukich, Rob Singleton, who did not play a fortnight ago, captain Adam Zubrinich and John Lawson, who both were injured early during that match, should also be available for the hawks.
The bulldog backline worked well last week with Jack Clarke and Ben Luteria in the key positions and the reliable Matthew Cox, Chris Stephens, Terry Hall, Aaron Casey and Aaron Featherstonhaugh will give good support.
West has good fire power in Shannon Page who kicked six against the Port two weeks ago as well as Matthew Woodford and Hayden Warren who have both kicked 48 and 43 goals respectively this season and throw in Kirk Higgins who was the hawks best player last week and has been among the goal scorers kicking four majors last week against South.
The bulldogs centre combination is strong with Norm Wombat back working very well with ruckman Michael Burford who along with Andrew Waters and Recorder Medalist Matt Kendall were both back in good touch.
Port will be further strengthened in the middle with the return of Clarke and Fleming.
West also has strength in the centre with Rhys Dadleh, Ray Stapleton, Jordan Warren, Nick Collins and their tough captain Zubrinich.
